The Marches

I feel like the part of today (day 3) that will stick with me the most was listening to Joanne Bland speak to us and talk about being involved in marches that left from Brown Chapel. One specific part that I found to be particularly inspirational was hearing about the rocks that both we and activists or the Civil Rights Movement stood on. I was moved when Ms. Bland talked about each individual rock and how it should remind us (once we get back home) that instead of sitting around we should be active and fighting for something we believe in. She used the metaphor of the rock reminding us of this to imprint this idea in all of our minds.
